Sure, but why are you questioning the producer that literally says "STAINLESS STEEL WOUND ELECTRIC GUITAR STRINGS"?
My guess is you have been using strings of basically similar material earlier, perhaps even all along.

I've never seen strings actually rust btw. They put on muck of your fingers which builds up, and the acid of your sweat will eat in eventually. Some guitars of mine have strings on them I have put on 30 years ago. No special strings, not rusted at all.

You can simply whipe your strings clean with a cloth (or old sock) after playing to prolongue lifetime. But you'll miss the thrilling sound & experience of "new strings"
