Re: Ibanez RGM55 info

Hi, I'm an Ibanez fan but hadn't heard of this one. After researching online, it seems that this model was only sold in 2014 and wasn't a big seller. (For those curious, it's essentially a 22" scale-length RG with Dimarzios!) So, your options are to wait until a used one comes up for sale, or not have one lol. I check online every month or two for a few semi-rare Ibbys from that time period (not as rare as this one though) and I'd say that those have been coming up for sale less and less often for the past few years, compared to about five years ago. So it wouldn't surprise me if this particular model comes up for sale rarely...but everything with a normal production run (like the RGM55) will certainly come up for sale in the used market (Reverb, Craigslist, Guitar Center, Music-Go-Round, eBay, Goodwill online, etc.) at some point, so just keep checking!
Hi,

Thanks for your reply and advice, appreciate it. You must be an Ibanez expert I can tell that :)
The main reason I tried to search for this Ibanez model is indeed because of the scale length.
I'm trying to find a guitar that I can play more comfortably, a smaller size as I'm an average Asian guy.
So after comparing several models (like Fender junior, Squier mini, Jackson minion, Ibanez mikro, etc) which too small for me, I also just found out about this Ibanez RGM55 which has the longest scale between them, 22.75". That's why I'm just asking here who knows some folks from US and Eu spotted them in some sales and can share the info because we have this forum of all people around the world. Well, Lisa-X from Japan was lucky she had one red RGM55 after Paul told her to use it when she was a little shredding girl :))

Then in the meantime of searching (find nothing, lol) I changed my plan to be easier and contacting few guitar manufacturers and I ended up make a new custom guitar with 23.25" scale length from a local guitar factory. It is in process now and will be a prototype for testing first. Because if it's still too small, I'll made another 24" one. Fun thing for a custom made, I asked the neck to be the Super-wizard type (RG550 neck thickness).
