How could i get this jangely guitar -sound technique..that ringing reverby (?) Arthur Lee's Love / The Byrds sound? I don't mean Love's "Forever Changes" era, I mean their early work exemplified here;

Also, how could i get that scratchy guitar- solo sound and that punchy bass sound in that track? Each song on that album sounds similar e.g. this also;

I reckon that usually that sort of jangely Bryds sound is produced by the bottom 2 strings left to ring open.... but maybe it's all not so simple.
